New kindergarten coming to Edenhope

A new kindergarten will be built at Edenhope College, providing additional kindergarten places for families in Edenhope and surrounding communities.
The Victorian Government has announced the new kindergarten as part of its Best Start, Best Life reforms.
The new centre is expected to be a one-room facility, with the project due for completion ahead of the 2028 school year.

Funding to boost youth recreation across West Wimmera

West Wimmera Shire Council has secured funding to improve active recreation opportunities for people aged under 25 across the municipality.

Council received $200,000 through VicHealth's Partners in Place program to deliver the Close to Home – Reimagining Rural Recreation in West Wimmera project.

Early years services recognised for wellbeing and physical activity

Edenhope Early Childhood Service, Goroke Preschool and Kaniva Kindergarten have received State Government recognition for excellence in mental health and wellbeing and physical activity and movement.
The three services achieved the milestone through the Healthy Places Healthy Futures framework, formerly known as the Healthy Early Childhood Services Achievement Program.

The Edenhope Cemetery Working Bee is a great opportunity for community members to come together and help maintain and improve the cemetery grounds.

Volunteers are encouraged to bring wheelbarrows, shovels, rakes, garbage bags and whipper snippers to assist with the clean-up and maintenance activities.

Free sausage sizzle and a chat is a local outreach event providing an opportunity for community members to drop in, grab a cuppa and have a relaxed chat with the Uniting team. The team will be available to answer enquiries, provide support and connect people with mental health, alcohol and other drugs (AOD), homelessness and other Uniting programs. No appointment is required.
